Härjedalens kommun and the joint student health services need to add school nurses to schools in western Härjedalen.
As a school nurse, you will have a central and important role in the school's student health work, where you as a school nurse contribute your medical expertise. You are part of the comprehensive student health team where you work cross-professionally with educators and other staff in the student health team to create the best conditions for students' health, development, and learning. One of the two positions requires that necessary decisions are made.
Duties
As a school nurse, you work at the individual, group, and school unit level and actively contribute to the school's cross-professional forums.
Your role as a school nurse includes, among other things:
offering and conducting health consultations, health visits, and vaccinations according to national guidelines and established national base programs.
working to promote and prevent students' health, whether physical, mental, or social.
being available for open clinic hours.
providing guidance and consultation to the school's other staff.
continuously and systematically collaborating with other professionals in student health and educators at the school.
cooperating with external actors and authorities.
building relationships with students and collaborating with students and guardians.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse with one of the following advanced qualifications:
Specialist Nurse Education in Health Care for Children (75 hp)
District Nurse (75 hp)
School Nurse Program (60 hp)
For this position, a B driver's license is required as you will need to be able to travel by car between schools.
Upon possible employment, a criminal record excerpt from the police must be presented.
