Description We are now seeking a school nurse at 50% for Torsbergsgymnasiet in Bollnäs, where you will work at both the upper secondary school and the adapted upper secondary school. Responsibilities We are looking for someone who wants to work in a well-oiled team, where days in a safe and eventful environment are filled with forward-thinking, generosity, and meaningful relationships. You are a licensed nurse with specialist training in health care for children and adolescents, have district nurse education, or have completed the school nurse program. As a school nurse, you are part of our student health team where your primary responsibility is medical expertise, which includes conducting health consultations and certain vaccinations. The student health team includes principals, a counselor, study and career counselors, and special educators. We have close collaboration between the student health team and teachers/other staff. As a school nurse with us, you can make a real difference for the students, and the work is both varied and independent. You work primarily on health promotion and prevention. You will have close collaboration with the existing school nurse at Torsberg and our school nurses in other parts of the federation. We place great emphasis on building good relationships with our wonderful students. We work preventively and promotively to create increased knowledge and understanding of how diet, sleep, mental and physical activity affect well-being and motivation. Qualifications To succeed in your role, it is important that you are flexible, communicative, and have the ability to build good and trusting relationships with students, guardians, and teachers. You are secure, responsible, and enjoy working collaboratively. As a school nurse at our schools, you have an independent role and need strong planning and organizational skills to work efficiently. Since you will be active in health promotion work, you need to be skilled at communicating, motivating, and inspiring.
