Student Health Services is a central unit under the education administration that supports schools' local student health work. It includes (in addition to school psychologist), counselors, special education teachers, and school nurses as well as a school physician. The primary focus of Student Health Services is to work in health promotion and prevention to create good learning environments where all students can develop and achieve the goals of education. Your duties As a school psychologist, you are part of the student health team and work primarily in health promotion and prevention to support students' development toward educational goals. The work includes, among other things, contributing to accessible learning environments, providing education, guidance, and consultation to staff, participating in the school's attendance work, promoting mental health, and participating in systematic quality work through analysis of surveys and results, etc. In addition to the health promotion work, other statutory and operational parts of the role are included, such as psychological assessments and evaluations of students, groups, and school situations to identify barriers to learning and propose appropriate interventions. The role also involves collaboration with external actors, such as social services and child and adolescent mental health services, to ensure a holistic perspective on the student's situation as well as participation in the municipality's crisis support organization when needed. About you We are seeking someone who is a licensed psychologist. It is also desirable if you have previous work experience as a school psychologist. To succeed in this role, you are independent, take initiative, and have good collaboration skills. You find it easy to create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
