Child and student health services are organized in a central unit consisting of preschool special education teachers, school nurses, school social work teams, and a school psychologist. Each school has a student health team led by the principal. 1 position(s). JOB DUTIES As a school psychologist, you are part of the comprehensive student health services, which include medical, psychological, psychosocial, and special education interventions. The student health mission is to support students' development toward educational goals through health-promoting, preventive, and intervention work. You are part of the schools' student health teams and contribute psychological perspectives at the organizational, group, and individual levels. Your role is based on the School Act and involves, in close collaboration with the school's other professionals, promoting students' health, learning, and development. Together, you work to create an accessible, safe, and inclusive learning environment where all students have good conditions to develop. Through consultation, supervision, and professional development, you support principals, educators, and other school staff in preventive and health-promoting work. You also offer support and guidance to guardians on matters relating to children's and young people's development, mental health, and learning. Consultation with preschool educators occurs as needed. You also participate in the municipality's crisis support organization. At the individual level, you conduct assessments and consultations based on questions relevant to the student's school situation. You are responsible for psychological evaluations prior to admission to adapted primary school and adapted upper secondary school. The role also includes care referrals, request handling, and documentation in ProRenata in accordance with applicable legislation and guidelines. The work involves close collaboration with external agencies, such as child and adolescent psychiatry, Youth Mental Health services, habilitation services, social services, and primary care, to ensure coordinated and appropriate care and support based on the student's needs. In Tranemo, you are the sole school psychologist. Your office is located at the Family Center, where school social work team members also have their workplaces. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who: • is a licensed psychologist • is confident in your professional role and can drive your work in a structured and independent manner • has great commitment to students' learning, health, and development • has excellent ability to collaborate with students, guardians, and professionals within and outside the school Experience as a school psychologist, psychologist in child and adolescent psychiatry, child and adolescent habilitation, or primary care for children and young people is meritorious, as is experience with psychological assessments and evaluations as well as consultation. The majority of the work takes place on-site in Tranemo Municipality. A driver's license is required. Great weight is placed on personal suitability.
