Jelgavas Paula Bendrupa pamatskola invites a SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST TEACHER to join on a permanent basis for a part-time position (0.5 full-time equivalent) The school implements general education programs, developing inclusive education with smaller class sizes – up to 14 children. Job responsibilities: • Conduct assessment of students' speech, language, and written language development; diagnose, prevent, and correct language disorders; • Plan and deliver individual and group speech-language therapy sessions, providing students with necessary support in language, reading, and writing skills development; • Develop speech-language therapy session schedules, organize therapy groups, and maintain speech-language pathologist documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and school policies; • Prepare written reports on students' speech, language, and written language development, and provide recommendations for supportive measures in the learning process and assessments; • Consult with students' parents and teachers, offering recommendations for developing students' speech, language, reading, and writing skills; • Collaborate with the school support team, teachers, and administration; participate in support staff meetings and other school activities related to job duties. Requirements: Higher pedagogical education and speech-language pathologist teacher qualification in accordance with the Cabinet of Ministers Regulations No. 569 of September 11, 2018 "Regulations on Education and Professional Qualifications Required for Teachers and the Procedure for Professional Development of Teachers" in its current version; Knowledge of regulatory acts governing education; Ability to plan and organize work, collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and support team members; Positive, responsible, and professional attitude toward work; Psychological resilience, empathy, and high communication skills.
