Valmiera Gaujas Riverside Secondary School – Development Center invites you to work as a TEACHER'S ASSISTANT AT SCHOOL (work address: Pāvila Rozīša iela 5, Valmiera) for an indefinite period, 40 hours per week.
If you have the desire to:
Support teachers in organizing and conducting the learning process
Provide individual and group support to students with intellectual development disorders during lessons and daily activities
Promote students' independence, social skills, and self-care skills
Help ensure a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment
Assist students with mobility, nutrition, hygiene, and other daily needs in accordance with individual requirements
Participate in preparing educational materials and organizing classroom spaces
Collaborate with educators to promote student development and well-being
Comply with school internal regulations, occupational safety, and child protection requirements
and if you have:
Secondary education; pedagogical, social, psychological, or other education related to work in the education field will be considered an advantage
Desired previous experience working with children or youth, especially those with special needs
Patience, empathy, a sense of responsibility, and a positive attitude toward working with children
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues
Ability to organize your work and act calmly in various situations
Good knowledge of Latvian language
we will appreciate:
Knowledge of special education principles and inclusive education
Experience working with students with intellectual development disorders, autism spectrum disorders, or other developmental disorders
Willingness to improve professional knowledge and learn new work methods.

remuneration during probation period (3 months) - EUR 858, after probation period - 935 euros per month before tax payment, including supplementary pay for work under special conditions;
