Responsibilities You will be responsible for psychosocial expertise in the school's student wellbeing team at the individual, group, and organizational levels. You bring a holistic perspective on student health and learning and support students, staff, and guardians in this work. The school counselor conducts advice and support conversations, assessment conversations, coaching conversations with school staff, participates in the school's values-based work and attendance promotion initiatives, and contributes through work in the student wellbeing team to increased goal achievement for the school's students. The school counselor actively participates in various collaboration meetings with other actors such as social services and health and medical care. You are employed by Student Wellbeing in Helsingborg where your direct supervisor is located, and you work in the school's student wellbeing team led by the school principal. You will be part of an area group with 5–8 other school counselors and participate in APT and development days with all school counselors where we work on shared professional development. You join a work group with high professional competence and an open climate where learning and development are in focus. You have access to external professional supervision and participate in the school's development work as part of the student wellbeing team. As an employee, you receive a wellness allowance of 3000 kronor per year. Qualifications We are looking for someone with a degree in social work and experience working as a school counselor. It is a merit if you have previous experience in student wellbeing work with students of upper secondary school age – preferably in the role of school counselor. You must hold a B-class driver's license. You have a strong sense of responsibility in your work and you put students first. You work with great curiosity about how you and your work can develop and have a strong desire to learn on the job. You have good ability to create trusting relationships with students, guardians, and school staff. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
