In Höör Municipality, child and student health services are organized centrally and include school nurses, school counselors, school psychologists, school doctors, special education teachers, and our school social team. The central child and student health services have the mission to assist the municipality's primary schools with medical, psychological, psychosocial, and special education expertise in the overall student health work. Each school has a student health team in which the school counselor is included. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as a school counselor, you are part of the student health services' psychosocial intervention. The assignment involves working preventatively and health-promoting to contribute to all students' learning and development. In your role as a school counselor, you bring psychosocial expertise to the pedagogical work and together with other professionals in the organization, you create the best conditions for each student to achieve the education's goals. As a school counselor, you work in our municipal primary schools. You are part of the school's student health team and work together with the school's staff to create a safe, health-promoting, and inclusive learning environment. You work at the individual, group, and organizational level to strengthen students' sense of security, participation, and well-being. The work includes identifying and analyzing factors in the learning environment that promote or hinder students' development and learning together with the school's staff. Together with other school counselors in central child and student health services, you contribute to developing student health's preventative and health-promoting work for increased quality and equity. The school counselors work closely together and meet regularly for collaboration. As a school counselor, you also collaborate with external actors such as social services and police. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who has a degree in social work or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working as a school counselor or in a similar assignment with children and youth. Experience with an assignment aimed at developing the school's preventative and health-promoting student health work is a merit. As a school counselor, you are attentive, empathetic, and confident in your professional role. You are solution-focused, unpretentious, and flexible, and you meet each student with commitment and genuine curiosity. Your approach creates sustainable and trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues in the organization. The role requires that you enjoy collaborating and that you see the strength in interdisciplinary work. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Permanent employment.
