Ängsdals School is a two-class parallel, independent school in Bunkeflostrand with approximately 500 students in grades F-9. We work to offer students and guardians a consistent thread throughout their entire school years. The company is owned by its staff and also operates three preschools. As an employee, you receive benefits including wellness programs, health insurance, a personal Mac computer, and excellent opportunities for professional development.
Ängsdals School's Vision
At Ängsdals Schools, every child and student has the opportunity to develop in a safe environment based on their individual circumstances. Our staff always acts in the child's best interest and sees possibilities and solutions instead of obstacles and problems. All children and students with us are allowed to succeed.
We conduct operations that are constantly evolving. We are proud of what we offer but want to continuously improve. Ängsdals Schools should contribute to societal development, not adapt to it.
The children and students who leave us should be equipped to continue succeeding.
More About Ängsdals
Our work with students is based on our core values of creativity, pride, enthusiasm, and independence. At Ängsdals School, good relationships are central; a safe and welcoming school environment supports and stimulates learning.
Early assessment combined with comprehensive and extensive special education expertise gives us good conditions to implement early and preventive measures, which benefits students in need of extra support for their learning. Our starting point is that students should be given the right conditions to succeed based on their needs and opportunities.
We offer great opportunities to work closely with the student support team, teachers, educators, and leadership. The focus should be "we" to a greater extent than "I".
We Are Seeking a School Counselor (Preschool - Grade 9)
In your role as a counselor, you are an important part of the school's student health team and work primarily in a preventive and health-promoting capacity. You contribute with psychosocial expertise in close collaboration with other student health professionals and school staff. You are also the coordinator for the school's safety efforts and serve on the school's Safety Committee.
You work closely with students and are an important and accessible resource in the daily work around and with student well-being.
You participate in developing, revising, and implementing Ängsdals School's plan against harassment—our Safety Plan. You also actively participate in efforts to prevent discrimination and in crisis management, values-based education, and conflict resolution.
When needed, you collaborate with external resources such as social services, child and adolescent psychiatry, rehabilitation services, and police.
Interviews will begin on a rolling basis.
