Fröslundaskolan is a K–6 school with a KÖSU group (municipal special education group) located in Fröslunda. We have small classes and work with language development across all subjects. Here you have time for each student and can make a difference for our students through your leadership and teaching. Our school requires engaged and competent educators who are skilled at building relationships and adapting instruction to meet student needs. Our student support team consists of two special education teachers, two special educators, a school counselor, a social pedagogue, a school psychologist, and a school nurse. We have a strong network around our students. We also work to ensure students have an active and meaningful leisure time. We have, among other things, a full-time librarian, collaboration with the Culture School, and sports organizations. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you are a school counselor for K–6. In the position, you work in a health-promoting and preventive manner by, among other things, mapping, investigating, and proposing interventions against mental health issues. You work close to the school activities and conduct student conversations both individually, in groups, and with entire classes. We work extensively with attendance and absence issues. Our focus is to strengthen health factors and create a good environment for student health, learning, and development. For us, collaboration is important, both internally and externally. You participate in network meetings where you contribute with your knowledge. You also maintain contact with municipal authorities when needed. As a school counselor, you are also responsible for the school's compulsory education monitoring. We see strength in good relationships, and as a school counselor, you are an important part of meetings with students, educators, and guardians. We have strong student support that is central to our school's work—here you make a difference. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you with a completed three-year higher education degree as a social worker, behavioral scientist, or other education that we deem equivalent. We see that you have previously worked with student support or social work with children or young people, preferably as a school counselor. We view favorably if you have experience with collaboration on initiatives linked to municipal and regional services. If you have also studied or worked with the MI (Motivational Interviewing) conversation method, that is a plus. You have good interpersonal skills and easily build relationships with our students. Your collaboration skills are strong and you want to find good solutions for how we can work to strengthen each individual student. You are confident in your role and contribute your knowledge to the student support team. Salary form: Monthly salary. Employment form: Permanent employment.
