Häggviks Gymnasium consists of both an adapted gymnasium with both IV and national programs, as well as a resource gymnasium with introductory programs and national programs. Teaching takes place in small groups, based on students' knowledge level, learning pace, and social circumstances. We work with clear, structured, and predictable pedagogy, with the aim of creating both security and a desire to learn. As a school counselor, you are part of our student health team and work closely with students, educators, and school management. School counselor work requires the ability to handle multiple different perspectives, as school social work should protect and highlight the importance of structural, organizational, and relational perspectives. This requires knowledge of children and young people and their development. The psychosocial intervention is based on knowledge of social work, psychosocial change work, sociology, psychology, social law, and broad and continuously updated knowledge of society's welfare systems. As a school counselor, you are expected to take responsibility for your own professional work and how the psychosocial intervention should be concretized and shaped. You are expected to have good knowledge of the basic mandate according to school law, curricula, and other governing and guidance documents. The position includes working in a health-promoting and preventive manner to contribute to a good learning and living environment for our students. You work structurally and can guide staff, lead training initiatives, conduct social and educational assessments, and document. Qualifications You have a degree in social work or other relevant behavioral science education. You have documented knowledge and experience working with children and young people with neuropsychiatric disabilities and intellectual disabilities. You are fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written. You have strong skills in writing academic texts/educational assessments. You are familiar with current laws, governing documents, and relevant research. You are experienced in working with journal systems, and we consider it advantageous if you have previously worked in Pro Renata. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability.
