About Us
Ebba Petterssons Privatskola is a non-profit foundation, which means 100% of the student's school fees go directly to the operations. We are a preschool through grade 9 school with approximately 650 students. The school has a long history as one of Gothenburg's oldest primary schools and is characterized by a culture focused on our core values: safety, pride, commitment, development, and joy.

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a counselor with us, you are an important part of the school's interdisciplinary student wellbeing work and in developing the school's promotion and prevention efforts. Your assignment involves bringing psychosocial work into the school to remove barriers to student learning, so that each student can feel well and develop positively according to the school's goals.
In this role, you will, among other things:
Conduct social assessments and mapping.
Guide and consult school staff based on observations and assessments, and carry out basic training initiatives.
Collaborate with external actors such as social services, child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP), and police.
Contribute to planning, establishing, and implementing action plans within our student wellbeing, safety, and values-based work, as well as addressing problematic school absenteeism.
Organize and contribute expertise in crisis management and conflict resolution.
Conduct support conversations with students, both individually and in groups, and maintain contact with guardians.
Handle necessary and legally required documentation (e.g., regarding conversations, assessments, absences, and bullying cases).
We are Looking for You If You:
Have a degree in social work with previous experience in schools or working with children and young people.
Have strong ability to handle multiple perspectives and highlight the importance of structural, organizational, and relational factors.
Possess deep knowledge about children and young people's development and a broad range of working methods grounded in theories of human behavior and communication.
Are confident in your professional role, possess personal maturity, and have excellent ability to communicate with students, guardians, and other school professionals.
Are solution-focused, innovative, and have the ability to create alignment around student wellbeing issues.

Employment Form and Application
