JOB DUTIES Student health services in Åre Municipality is a municipality-wide and interdisciplinary operation that through its efforts promotes children's/young people's health and development, and supports students' development toward school goals. The operation includes school nurses, school counselors, school psychologists, school doctors, and study and career guidance counselors. Åre Municipality's counselor group meets regularly for collegial collaboration and supervision. As a school counselor, you are part of the school's student health team and represent an important part of student health work. The work is primarily preventive and health-promoting at the individual, group, and organizational level. You will work with tasks such as conversations and support for students, education, supervision, consultation, social assessments, and support to guardians and staff. Your assignment also includes collaboration with other authorities, especially social services and psychiatry. QUALIFICATIONS • Degree in social work • Experience in psychosocial work with children and young people and their families • Basic psychotherapy training To work as a school counselor in Åre Municipality, we see that you take active initiative in social settings, step forward, and have an easy time creating new relationships.
