The Education Administration is responsible for all activities within the municipality's preschools, primary schools, adapted primary school, after-school centers, upper secondary school, and adult education. Sagaskolan and Eddaskolan are two F-6 schools in the heart of Valsta that work closely together to create a safe, inclusive, and developmentally stimulating learning environment for all students. At the schools, students meet dedicated staff who work together to ensure every student feels seen, safe, and has the best possible conditions to succeed. The operations are characterized by collaboration, knowledge, academic focus, and respect, with an emphasis on strengthening students' desire to learn and develop according to their own capabilities. 1 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a school librarian, your task is to make the school library accessible to students and staff. You also have the responsibility to work collaboratively with educators to create classroom-focused activities that stimulate reading development and language skills, as well as build students' media and information literacy. You have special responsibility for working with school leadership and staff to strengthen the school's reading culture and promote students' reading motivation. You are expected to meet the needs of different students, collaborate with various professional groups at the school, and continuously strive to improve operations within the framework of the school's systematic quality work. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with a degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent. You are constructive and think in terms of the school's conditions and needs. You recognize the value in and have strategies for building good relationships with both students and staff. You are collaborative and find unpretentious paths forward together. You can both maintain focus on long-term strategic goals and handle situations in a busy everyday environment. Above all, we are looking for someone driven by the ability to positively influence each young person's life. Employment Type: Permanent position.
