Kungsfiskareskolan is located in the eastern parts of Klippan and is predominantly a three-parallel F-6 school with approximately 420 students.
Snyggatorpsskolan is located centrally in Klippan and is a grades 7-9 school with approximately 500 students.

JOB DUTIES
Do you want to help develop school libraries that make a real difference for students' reading motivation, learning and language and knowledge development? We are now seeking a committed school librarian. Here you will have the opportunity to work closely with students and teachers and help make the school libraries a natural and vibrant part of teaching.
As a school librarian with us, you have an important role in the schools' pedagogical work. During school hours you meet students in the library and in classrooms, spark curiosity about literature and strengthen students' ability to search, evaluate and use information. Together with teachers, you plan and implement initiatives in classes and smaller groups that develop students' reading, critical source thinking and media and information literacy (MIL).
The position is shared between Kungsfiskareskolan and Snyggatorpsskolan, which gives you an exciting opportunity to follow and support students' reading development and information competence from the younger years to secondary school. You work closely with school leadership, teachers and student services and become an important part of the schools' joint efforts for increased goal achievement, study peace and equal teaching.
The assignment includes responsibility for and development of library activities at both schools. You create accessible, safe and inspiring library environments where students want to read, explore and learn. You are responsible for purchasing, management and accessibility of media. With us you get a varied, independent and meaningful assignment where your expertise is utilized in the school's collective pedagogical work.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are an educated librarian with a degree in library and information science or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have a genuine interest in children and young people, reading, learning and the school's mission. It is meritorious if you have experience working in school libraries, public libraries or other educational activities. Knowledge of library administrative systems is desirable.
You are confident in working both independently and with others. You have good digital skills and find it easy to express yourself clearly in speech and writing. As a person you are relationship-building, solution-focused and flexible. You have the student's best interests in focus and collaborate well with students, teachers and other colleagues. Above all, you want to help build school libraries that inspire, include and strengthen students' future opportunities.

Degree in library and information science
