Ala School is now seeking an engaged school librarian who wants to be an important part of the school's development work. With us, student learning is at the center and we work based on high expectations, trust, and collaboration. With us, activities are designed so that all students develop every day and reach educational goals. The school library becomes an important part of this work. About the Position As a school librarian at Ala, you have a central role in developing the school library as a pedagogical resource. You are based at Ala but participate in providing all elementary school units in the municipality with school library services. You work closely to contribute to students' knowledge development, language and reading development, and media and information literacy. You have a clear student focus, value good service, and create good relationships with students. In the role of school librarian, you need to have a good ability to analyze students' needs and the ability to use methodology well adapted to the student and group. Your duties include, among other things: develop school library activities based on goals and governing documents stimulate students' love of reading and interest in literature support students in information searching, source criticism, and digital information management collaborate with teachers in teaching and pedagogical projects be responsible for the library's media, acquisitions, organization, and accessibility contribute to the school's systematic quality work and school development We Are Looking For You We are looking for someone who is trained as a librarian. It is an advantage if you have experience working in a school library or working with children and young people.
