Within the Department of Education and Children's Services, our approximately 3,000 employees work together with approximately 14,000 children and students at more than 100 preschools and schools throughout the municipality every day. Every child and student in Sundsvall Municipality's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and reach their goals according to their own conditions. Every student should be able to leave school with the will, knowledge, and good prerequisites to face adulthood and the future.
Your New WorkplaceWithin the Department of Education and Children's Services, approximately 3,000 employees work together to provide around 16,000 children and students with the best conditions for learning and development. Every day, we make a difference for children and young people at more than 130 operations.
We are now seeking two school administrators for primary school, with placement at Stöde School and one centrally located primary school. The role is placed at a school but is simultaneously part of a network of a total of 13 school administrators with a common mission for the municipality's primary schools.
How You Contribute in Your Role as School Administrator
As a school administrator, you have a central and important function in the operation. You are an administrative support to school management and contribute to structure, quality, and good service in the school's administrative processes. The role involves many contact points and close collaboration with students, guardians, employees, managers, and system administrators.
Common tasks in the role include:
Managing student administration and student records
Creating and administering classes and groups
Handling grade administration and grade reports
Working with invoice management and quality-assured accounting
Managing school transportation administration
Providing procurement support to school purchasers
Responsible for archiving according to applicable regulations
Participating in development and digitalization of administrative processes
Supporting schedulers in planning work
Updating contact information and information on websites and registers
Providing administrative service to school management and operations
Collaborating with colleagues within the school administrator network
Your Competence and Experience
We are looking for someone with at least upper secondary education and current experience with qualified administrative work or equivalent. You have experience with digital case management systems and financial systems, as well as extensive familiarity with working in various digital environments.
You have a good understanding of how to interpret and apply laws, regulations, and administrative processes. Furthermore, you have an easy time learning new systems and work independently with multiple tasks in parallel. You also have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as well as good knowledge of the Office suite.
We consider it a merit if you have post-secondary education in administration or IT. Experience with learning platforms, such as Vklass, and experience in supporting and guiding users in digital systems are also considered merits. Good knowledge of English is a plus.
To succeed in this role, you need to be organized, service-oriented, and have high integrity. You have the ability to plan, prioritize, and organize your work efficiently, while maintaining a good overall perspective and seeing what is best for the operation. You are self-driven, communicative, and enjoy collaborating with others. Furthermore, you have a flexible approach and take initiative when the situation requires it.
