We are seeking a forest consultant in an advisory capacity with a focus on responsible forest management for forests of the future. We offer placement within Region Nord: Sorsele, Norsjö, Arvidsjaur, or Älvsbyn.
Working as a forest consultant is a varied role with stimulating tasks and opportunities for professional development. You will be responsible for planning, arranging, and conducting advisory activities.
We operate across large geographic areas, so the work requires you to travel and sometimes stay overnight at other locations. We prioritize a good work environment and a sustainable work life.
Your Responsibilities
Your work will primarily be within our advisory operations with a current focus on responsible forest management for future climate. Our advisory work is conducted largely digitally via Teams, but field visits are also a standard format. Other tasks will include participation in projects and contract work. The work involves contact with forest owners, forestry companies, the public, and other government agencies.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with a university degree in forestry. You have strong knowledge of forest management and forestry-related climate issues, with experience from forest production and advisory services to professionals and landowners being advantageous. We would appreciate if you have knowledge of pedagogy and digital course delivery.
We place great importance on your personal qualities. The work requires you to be proactive and able to drive various activities, as well as work independently and in a structured manner. Creating and maintaining contacts is important for the role. You have good collaboration skills.
You must have basic knowledge of IT/GIS.
A manual Class B driver's license is required.
Our Offer to You
We offer a permanent position at 100% which begins with a 6-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. Please indicate your preferred placement location (Sorsele, Norsjö, Arvidsjaur, or Älvsbyn) in your application.
