The Opportunity
Join us on the journey to build and become part of our maintenance organization. We are seeking a shift-based mechanic for Hitachi Energy and our business unit consisting of Surge Arresters and Capacitors.
At Surge Arresters in Ludvika, we produce and sell surge arresters. New products are developed here and our markets are in Sweden and other parts of the world. An arrester protects against overvoltages and is an essential part of a reliable and energy-efficient power system. At Capacitors, we final-assemble customized medium and high-voltage capacitors for reactive power compensation and harmonic filtering, as well as manufacture DC capacitors for HVDC applications worldwide.
Both operations have a high degree of automation with multiple robots, winding machines, electrical testing, process furnaces, fixtures, and more. We produce around the clock across multiple production sections.
How You Will Impact
Responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on the facility's machinery and equipment.
Continuously oversee improvements to the manufacturing process and implement short-term and long-term plans as well as actively participate in investment projects.
Work together with production and external suppliers.
Work actively with technical documentation and our maintenance system.
Participate in our journey toward world-class maintenance by working systematically and data-driven.
Participate in initiatives to maintain and improve equipment reliability and efficiency.

Your Background
You are driven and solution-oriented with experience in practical maintenance work within mechanics. Relevant education is a merit.
You are accustomed to working in an environment where equipment has high availability and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
As a person, we see that you are solution-oriented, flexible, and responsive. To succeed in this role, you need to be results-focused and comfortable in a production environment.
We believe you thrive working both independently and in a team, and maintain a positive attitude toward the tasks you undertake. You will work shift work.
You will work according to high quality standards, so it is important that you are quality-conscious, safety-conscious, and responsible.
You should also be communicative in both Swedish and English with the ability to share your knowledge with the rest of the organization.
