About the Job As a network technician at Linköping University, you will be responsible for a large network and all its components, automation, development, and monitoring as well as daily operations. Our team is known for having an innovative approach and a strong drive. Thanks to unconventional but successful technical choices, a large portion of the workday is devoted to planned work, which provides the opportunity to focus on development and improvement of our infrastructure. Job duties include: Managing operations, administration, and development of the university's extensive network environment Working with automation and monitoring of network components to ensure stable and efficient operations Participating in planning and implementation of improvements and technical upgrades to the infrastructure Collaborating within the team and contributing to innovative solutions as well as sharing responsibility for the development of various systems About You We are looking for someone who is a skilled problem solver, self-driven, and takes initiative in your work. The role involves solving tasks together with colleagues, which is why we seek someone who enjoys working with others and has good collaboration skills. You are an organized person who plans, organizes, and follows up on your work in an efficient way. As a person, you are service-oriented and have the ability to put yourself in others' situations and develop solutions based on needs, not solely from a technical perspective. We would like you to have: Secondary education in networking and data communication or other education and experience that the employer deems equivalent Work experience in the profession Good communication skills in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have experience with: Management and development of a large network WiFi, Aruba, Cisco SPB, EVPN DHCP, DNS, IPAM, Infoblox NAC, 802.1x, mab for wireless and wired Firewalls, load balancers Monitoring and documentation Procurement in public administration Programming/scripting Ospf, bgp, mpls, isis Working with equipment from multiple manufacturers such as Alcatel, Cisco, Aruba, Kemp, Fortinet, Juniper Project management You will work with experienced colleagues who enjoy their work and support each other in bouncing ideas and solving challenges.
