Here, children and their families meet, talk, and play with characters from Astrid Lindgren's books. Our visitors experience stories from the beloved books performed in over 25 shows every day. Each year, the park welcomes nearly half a million visitors, making us Sweden's largest outdoor theater and a fairy tale world that creates lifelong memories. Our mission is to bring Astrid Lindgren's literary works to life and to work in her spirit based on the fundamental value that all people have equal worth. With us, everyone is an important part of creating an authentic and genuine experience of Astrid Lindgren's World. Do you want to be part of our work? As an actor at Astrid Lindgren's World, you stay in character throughout your entire workday. The core of our theater operation is the direct contact and encounter with each visitor, which takes place between our performances. You will also have children as colleagues here. Therefore, we see that you are flexible, attentive, and curious about creating together with them, where the child's perspective is central. To apply for the actor role with us, you need to have training and/or professional experience in theater/dance/singing. Prior experience in improvisational theater is a merit. Astrid Lindgren's World is open May-August, every day of the week and in all weather conditions. Therefore, it is important to us that you are solution-oriented, take personal responsibility, and can handle rapid changes. We welcome everyone regardless of ethnicity, gender identity, and cultural background. If you meet the formal requirements, you are welcome to apply to us! Employment Period 1: approximately March 30 – August 15, 2027 Employment Period 2: approximately April 12 – August 15, 2027 Employment Period 3: approximately April 19 – August 15, 2027 Salary: According to agreement between Scen & Film and Svensk Scenkonst Application Deadline: August 24, 2026. Auditions will be held on one of the following dates: September 29 - audition primarily for people who have previously worked with us. People who have previously been called back may also be invited to this day. September 30 - audition for new applicants and those who don't fit on September 29.
