Make a difference. Every day. The orthopedic operational area (VO) currently consists of three care units, one located in Lund and two in Malmö. The Orthopedic Department in Lund is an acute care unit with 21 patient beds. The department's specialty focuses on acute patients with common orthopedic diagnoses and patients with prosthesis-related infections, where we offer advanced medical and surgical treatment. In Lund, there is one of Sweden's sarcoma centers where our department contributes specialized care and treatment for sarcoma patients from southern Sweden. Our broad expertise means you will work with complex and adult patients of varying ages. At our workplace, we operate according to Region Skåne's Competence and Service Model, which provides a clear structure for your learning and career opportunities within our operations. The program is divided into five phases, each including training and learning activities. The development program reflects lifelong learning with connected learning objectives that are both hospital-wide and specific to orthopedic care. Each phase is linked to a clear competency description. Our goal as a department is to have nurses at all phases. We have a nursing council on the unit where nurses are involved and work with evidence-based care that contributes to development and competency assurance. 2 position(s). JOB DUTIES Work at an orthopedic care unit is rewarding and varied. As a nurse, you will work with both basic and highly specialized orthopedic care. We actively work with person-centered care, and you will work as a nurse both independently and as part of a team, with the patient always at the center. Clinical duties include pre- and post-operative care, medication management, blood work, and rehabilitation. You will work day/evening shifts as a nurse with us. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a licensed nurse with the authority to work in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills at least equivalent to C1 level according to the Council of Europe's scale are required. Previous work experience as a nurse is considered meritorious.
