About the Job Are you a registered nurse who wants varied and independent work where you make a difference for people every day? Due to a reorganization, we are looking for more staff members for our short-term unit at Högsbotorp Care and Housing Facility in the Southwest district. On the short-term unit, nurses work together in a close team with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, a pharmacist, and care staff. The work includes dialogue and cooperation with multiple parties where collaboration and problem-solving are a major part. As a nurse at Högsbotorp's short-term unit, you are responsible in your professional role to work together with other staff members to make a comprehensive assessment of the patient's need for healthcare, rehabilitation, and care. Collaboration and good community are highly valued. The unit has 30 beds. The short-term units in Gothenburg Municipality support people who need to regain, maintain, or improve their ability to manage in everyday life and thus make it possible to continue living at home. We also care for patients waiting for other accommodation and patients in their final stages of life. The flow of admissions and discharges is high at our short-term units where patients typically stay for around 14 days. Work at a short-term unit is free and varied. As a nurse, you will have overall responsibility for the patients you care for. This includes assessing, investigating, planning, implementing measures, and documenting based on the patient's various health problems. It is a merit if you have further education in elderly care. It is desirable if you have prescribing authority within incontinence and assistive devices. If you do not have this, you are expected to acquire it during work hours. We would like you to have several years of experience in the profession. A valid driver's license (Category B) is a requirement for the position. Evening and weekend shifts are included.
