The Surgery and Gastroenterology Department at Skåne University Hospital includes surgical and gastroenterological services in Malmö and Lund, as well as surgical services in Landskrona. We provide specialized and highly specialized care. The Colorectal Surgery Department in Malmö is an elective unit that treats patients undergoing surgical procedures on the intestines. The department has 20 beds and we work in teams with physicians, registered nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and the rehabilitation team. The department has new facilities on the hospital grounds in Malmö. We strive to work based on evidence and with patient-centered care. Staff actively work in various groups to develop and advance the operation. 2 position(s). JOB RESPONSIBILITIES With us, you get exciting and developmental work in a pleasant work environment. As a registered nurse, you will work with preoperative preparation and postoperative care of patients who have undergone colorectal surgery. Ostomy care is an important part of the treatment. You will also work with advanced pain management and be responsible for medical treatment. Those working in the pain area visit several times a week and follow up on pain treatment. The ERACS standard care plan is applied for safe and good patient care, which facilitates the development of your clinical eye and documentation. We offer a comprehensive introduction program that we follow up regularly so you feel confident when you start working independently with your patients. Additionally, we have internal lectures within the department that we plan together with our staff. You have the opportunity to plan your schedule yourself as we use TimeCare, so you can plan your clinical base year from the beginning (if you are newly educated). Great importance is placed on personal suitability. Regarding formal qualifications, you are a licensed registered nurse with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency at level C1 or above according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement.
