At the Geriatric Acute Care Unit GAVA, as a nurse you will work with your full scope of expertise with older, frail patients with complex needs. We work according to the geriatric care model Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA), which involves a clear structured assessment that increases patient safety and leads to a person-centered approach. Most of the 90 percent is scheduled, while a smaller part is flexible and used to cover absences due to illness and leave. Please read our career ladder for nurses and also about your benefits with us. Job Description At GAVA we work in interprofessional teams and as a nurse you are the hub in the elderly patient's care. You have a significant role as you work with a holistic view of the patient's needs, from the medical to the social and existential. As a nurse at GAVA, you are responsible for nursing care, medication administration, and medical-technical equipment. The work also involves contact with family members, home healthcare, and other professions needed to provide safe care and a secure discharge home. About You We are looking for someone who: Is a licensed nurse and wants to develop in the care of the elderly. Likes teamwork, is flexible, and sees opportunities. Is empathetic, curious, and wants to contribute both to patients' wellbeing and to our shared work environment. Personal suitability is highly valued.
