About Us The Surgery Clinic operates comprehensive services in surgery, urology, vascular surgery, plastic surgery, and oncology. We have two inpatient departments in Karlskrona and three outpatient clinics, one of which is in Karlshamn. We also operate services in radiology and the emergency department in Karlskrona as well as in the operating departments in Karlskrona and Karlshamn. Together, we are over 200 employees. On surgical department 48, we care for patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, liver, and gallbladder. The department has doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and kitchen staff. We also work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers. We care for both young and elderly patients, those with rapid care courses and those with longer stays. To support our care team, we have both a coordinator and a discharge nurse. With us, you will have the opportunity to participate in varied, developmental, and highly educational work. You will become part of a great team where we help each other and have strong team cohesion. We work with the patient's best interests in focus and have strong employee engagement in the department's development work. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, night, and weekend shifts, and we use individual scheduling. On our department, there is also the opportunity to pursue specialist nursing training in surgical care. We also have a nurse who works with mentorship on the department through reflection sessions, being available to answer questions, and creating a sense of security for you as someone new to the job. About You We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. If you have experience working on a surgical department or have specialist training in one of our areas, we see that as a merit but not a requirement. For us, it is of great importance that you have an empathetic approach and good conduct based on sound ethics, as patients, together with their families, have the right to participate in and receive information about decisions regarding their own care. Furthermore, you value good collaboration among colleagues, you have the ability to prioritize between tasks, and you can remain calm in situations that require it.
