The emergency department provides highly specialized acute care and we are one of Skåne University Hospital's (Sus) largest operations. We care for 65,000 patients per year, which makes us today also one of Sweden's largest emergency departments. The department is the hospital's gateway and is where the majority of patients begin their stay. You meet many people here, which means the work pace constantly varies and no two days are alike. We are approximately 300 employees who together are responsible for the first acute care of severely ill and injured patients within medicine, infection, surgery, urology, and orthopedics. During on-call hours we also have ear, nose, and throat services. 3 position(s). TASKS This posting is directed both to you who are a newly graduated nurse and to you who are already a licensed nurse. Newly graduated nurses are offered our KUL program, a ten-week introduction together with other newly graduated nurses. If you are already a licensed nurse, we offer a five-week introduction. The introduction program also includes theoretical Mondays with lectures and training in, for example, RETTS, acute care, and other relevant areas. As a nurse, it is important that you as a care leader guide the work around patient care and are comfortable in the management role. We work with Region Skåne's Competence and Service Model which replaces our regional training framework. As you become more confident in your role, you will be introduced to work in the acute room to care for our priority-1 patients and finally you will be introduced to our triage. Additionally, more specific tasks may become relevant if there is a desire to specialize. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you who are a licensed nurse or who recently completed your nursing degree and are authorized to work in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required. You who are applying are comfortable working at a varying pace and have a good ability to prioritize and re-prioritize when needed. You have an unpretentious approach and see yourself as an important part of the team around the patient based on your professional role.
