Every day brings something new here – a new life is born, a grandmother is operated on, a colleague is hailed as a hero. With us, you will experience both challenging trials and fantastic moments, in a strong community with colleagues. We welcome your application! Here you have the opportunity to combine your clinical nursing work with driving and developing quality initiatives at a highly specialized hematology department. We are looking for you who • Are a licensed nurse with an interest in hematology and quality improvement work. • Have training or experience in internal audits, accreditation work, improvement, and development. • Want to combine a nursing position with a quality coordinator role • Are responsible, independent, and driven, with good collaboration skills. • Are a skilled computer user (MS Office, preferably Cosmic). • Have good English language skills, as JACIE standards are in English. • Experience in hematology is meritorious but not required. About Us On hematology department 101A, we care for patients with blood diseases, such as leukemias and myelomas. We provide highly specialized care with a focus on both medical quality and patient-centered hematological nursing care. We care for patients throughout the entire care process – from investigation to intensive treatment and, for some patients, blood stem cell transplantation or CAR T-cell therapy. Stem cell transplantation is one of our specialty areas and we are accredited according to JACIE, the European accreditation for organizations working with blood stem cell transplantation. We work in multidisciplinary teams where nurses, nurse assistants, physicians, and other professionals collaborate closely. Work as a Nurse The nursing role is varied and medically advanced. In addition to working with central lines, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, infection-fighting medications, and transfusions, the role also includes monitoring and assessing patients in connection with advanced treatments. At the same time, patient care is a central part of the work. Many treatments continue for several weeks and recur over time, which means we get to know many patients and follow them through major parts of their treatment journey. The work includes, among other things: • Responsible for care and treatment of patients with hematological diseases. • Administer chemotherapy, blood products, and advanced medication treatments. • Handle central lines. • Monitor and assess patients' conditions. • Inform and support patients and their relatives throughout the care process. • Collaborate closely with other professionals to provide the best possible care. Work as a Quality Coordinator As a quality coordinator, you will have a central role in our continued quality and improvement work. Together with the accreditation-responsible physician, you are responsible for coordinating and developing work with our quality management system and ensuring that it meets the requirements for JACIE accreditation. The work involves close collaboration with the management team and collaboration partners at the hospital who are also affected by the scope of accreditation. You work independently with internal audits, monitoring of quality goals, statistics, and documentation. You identify areas for improvement and drive, together with management and operations, development work. When it is time for accreditation inspection, you play a central role in preparations and implementation. We Offer • The position is a combination of clinical nursing work and quality development. You will work 50% as a nurse and 50% as a quality coordinator. Employment is Monday-Friday, office hours. The combination gives you the opportunity to maintain clinical engagement while having a clear responsibility for developing the department's quality work. • Start date and salary by agreement. A probationary employment period may be relevant. • During the first months, the focus is on settling into the quality coordinator role. You will receive introduction and support from the current quality coordinator. • Introduction as a nurse in the department is planned based on your previous experience. • You will report directly to the hematology department's department manager and will receive regular follow-up and coordination regarding both the nursing and quality coordinator roles. • Further education in quality development and hematology. • Weekly physician lectures on disease knowledge and treatments. • A workplace with high nurse density and a well-developed quality management system. • An engaged team where we help each other, learn from one another, and where there is an open culture.
