We welcome your application! About the Position With us, you have the opportunity to work daytime hours, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, with on-call duty only every 6–8 weeks. As a nurse/district nurse at Home Care Southeast, you have care responsibility for enrolled patients ages 18+ who need health and medical care at home. We work preventively in a team with nurses, occupational therapists, care staff, and a unit manager to create good and safe care. We also collaborate with physicians and physiotherapists from the region. Since Örebro residents can freely choose their care provider, you will work with both our municipal operations and private providers. For us, it is important to take a person-centered and rehabilitative approach with our patients' wishes and needs in focus. The role consists of varied tasks, which provides opportunities for variety and challenges. Examples of Work Tasks: As a nurse/district nurse: - you work according to the nursing process with medical care for patients, independent planning, implementation of interventions, and follow-up/evaluation - you provide advice and guidance, conduct examinations and treatments based on independent assessments - you work with preventive health efforts - you manage medications and delegate tasks to care staff As a district nurse: - you have additional responsibility to convey structured work methods to colleagues - you have prescribing authority and apply your knowledge of medication properties, prescriptions, and side effects - based on specialized knowledge, you make health economic choices for assessment and treatment - you mentor colleagues in areas requiring training and drive efforts toward Close-to-Home Care About the Workplace Home Care Southeast is one of five home care areas in Örebro Municipality. Our service area covers both urban and rural areas in a varied and pleasant region. Our unit is in an exciting development phase where we are working on various development projects, such as a coordinator function. The aim is to improve accessibility for residents and improve working conditions for staff. As a nurse with us, you are offered exciting work with patient groups of various ages. The role consists of varied tasks, which provides opportunities for variety and challenges. The Care and Social Services Area is part of the Social Services Department. Operations include care and social services, preventive activities, regulatory authority functions in the area, and residential placement and housing adaptation. Within the Care and Social Services Area, we work to support and help people who need care, support, or assistance in their daily lives. Qualifications As a nurse, you are confident in yourself and have good self-awareness. You thrive with having your own areas of responsibility and take ownership of your tasks in an independent and structured manner. Being attentive and accommodating in your interactions with both colleagues and patients is self-evident to you. You communicate clearly and have the ability to ensure that information reaches its destination. Additionally, you easily adapt to changed circumstances and see opportunities and solutions in what you face. Furthermore, you master the Swedish language well enough to communicate with patients and other staff, as well as to document what the operation requires. Since the work includes digital documentation in operational systems, good computer skills are required. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
