Here we care for patients who need rapid assessment, treatment, and follow-up within a limited time. We have a large patient flow because the focus is on short stays and early decisions about next steps – discharge or continued care. We work closely with the rest of hospital care because our patients come from emergency care, outpatient clinics, or postoperative care and represent several different specialties. As a registered nurse at AVA, you have nursing care responsibility and participate in patient-centered nursing care work in a team together with nursing assistants. Your daily tasks include medication management, ward rounds, and coordination with the patient in focus. We are proud of our employees and their expertise! Through continuous professional education and our mentor program, you will receive support and tools to become even better in your profession. Through the mentor program, you get an experienced registered nurse as your mentor and dedicated time for reflection. Once you are confident in your role, there is also the opportunity to be introduced to our acute observation beds where patients requiring a higher level of care are treated. If you have experience as a registered nurse within hospital care or acute care, we view that as a merit.
