This position is located within the Care and Service Administration, one of eight administrations in Linköping Municipality. The Care and Service Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, health and medical services, regulatory functions, procurement of services, and operates care and services in-house. Welcome to us! Your Responsibilities Would you like to work close to patients, use your expertise, and have a varied role within municipal health and medical services? As a nurse with us, you have the opportunity to make your own medical assessments, plan care, and follow up with patients over time. As a nurse at a care home, you are responsible for patients' health and medical care. You plan, assess, implement, and follow up on health and medical care measures and make your own priorities based on patient needs. Your duties include: making medical assessments and initiating interventions planning and following up on health and medical care measures implementing and following up on doctor's orders taking blood samples and dressing wounds guiding and delegating to nursing staff documenting in patient records working with quality registers such as BPSD, Senior Alert, and the Palliative Care Register You are part of a multidisciplinary team and work closely with nursing staff, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists. You also participate in the local management group where you contribute to the development, quality, and patient safety of the operations. Your Workplace Linköping Municipality operates several care homes throughout the municipality. The facilities focus on somatic care or dementia, and some care homes have both focuses. We are currently recruiting nurses for several of our care homes. At the care home, you work together with nursing colleagues and in close collaboration with the operations manager, coordinator, nursing staff, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist. Working hours are scheduled Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30. In a rolling six-week schedule, you work one weekend and two weekday evenings. About You We are looking for you who are a registered nurse with experience working as a nurse. It is meritorious if you have experience in municipal health and medical services or work within elderly care. Specialist training as a district nurse or other relevant specialist training is also meritorious. You are familiar with working in documentation and patient record systems and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. A B-class driver's license is required, as well as the ability to cycle. To thrive in this role, you need to be well-organized, have good judgment, and be able to make independent assessments and prioritizations. You collaborate well with others and communicate clearly with patients, relatives, and colleagues.
