Central Hospital Kristianstad (CSK) is the acute care hospital for northeastern Skåne. We provide acute care services around the clock. CSK has the resources of a large hospital combined with the closeness and sense of community of a smaller hospital. The hospital offers residents in its catchment area care with short waiting times across all specialties. We have approximately 2,600 employees. Within the urology operational area (VO), the urology clinic has approximately 40 employees. The clinic has around 10,000 patient contacts per year, and the forecast is rising. We conduct both planned and emergency surgery. Urology encompasses a wide range, including work that improves quality of life for patients while also handling advanced cancer diseases where we investigate and treat some of the most common forms of cancer. We also see patients with benign urinary issues, incontinence, and erectile dysfunction. Our patients are treated on the urology and vascular surgery ward, which organizationally belongs to the surgery VO. DUTIES Your role includes having your own clinic operations consisting of catheter changes, flow measurements, and cancer follow-ups with bladder instillations, injections, and infusions. It also includes pre-operative assessments, telephone advice, and administrative tasks such as quality registries, test result handling, and referral management. You work according to national care programs. We offer good development opportunities in several exciting areas such as urotherapy, cystoscopy, and cystometry. You can also become a contact nurse at our clinic. You would then follow the patient through the entire cancer care process, from investigation and treatment to rehabilitation. You attend diagnosis consultations and are subsequently the patient's primary contact with the clinic. You develop individual care plans together with the patient and other team members. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you as a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills equivalent to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are required for this role. As a nurse at the urology clinic, you are confident in your professional role, have the ability to make independent decisions, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team. You are good at planning and organizing work in advance, while also having the ability to reprioritize when an acute situation arises. Furthermore, you are thorough in your nursing role and committed to caring for patients according to their different needs.
