Job Responsibilities
As a nurse in our urology department, you will work with patients being treated for a broad spectrum of urological diseases, including kidney and urinary tract diseases, prostate problems, and cancer. We care for both patients with acute conditions and those undergoing planned surgical procedures. Our patient group is diverse and comes from all over Sweden. An important factor in our high patient satisfaction is our focus on being a department at the forefront, both in urology and work environment.
In your role, you will handle a range of medical technical tasks, such as infusions, blood transfusions, catheters, drains, and central lines. We invest in continuous professional development for our staff, through both regional trainings and our own internal trainings ranging from sepsis to patient transfer techniques.

As a nurse at Department 38, you will play a central role in the care process, working closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest possible quality and safety for our patients.
Areas of Responsibility:
. Assess and document the patient's health status
. Perform medical treatments and provide nursing care
. Participate in teamwork and collaborate with doctors, physiotherapists, and other professional groups
. Provide support and information to patients and their families
The department has a clinical quality nurse who is available as mentoring support for new colleagues. The department also has a discharge nurse who is responsible for contact with the municipality and participates in discharge planning.

Qualifications
You are a licensed nurse with experience or a strong interest in working within urology or surgery. You are empathetic, responsible, and have good communication skills. You enjoy both working independently and as part of a team, and you are flexible and can handle a varied workflow.

The application should include CV, personal letter, and grades from nursing courses completed, as well as any proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare regarding protected professional title. Other certificates, grades, diplomas, and so forth should be provided at a possible interview.
