The operation consists of outpatient and inpatient care at both Lund and Malmö locations. At the Lung Clinic Day Care, highly specialized lung cancer treatments are provided across three different teams. The team includes physicians, nurses, medical secretaries, social workers, and service staff. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Are you a nurse who wants to be part of an operation where patients always come first? We are now seeking an engaged colleague for Thoracic Oncology Day Care in Lund who wants to join our competent and positive team. Together, we work to provide high-quality care and continue developing our operation. As a nurse, your role includes attending initial consultations, planning and administering systemic and supportive treatments, identifying cancer rehabilitation needs, and participating in long-term care planning for patients. Your responsibilities also include telephone consultations and establishing contact with other healthcare providers as needed. As a contact nurse, you create continuity, security, and participation while providing support to both patients and their families. If you are interested in research, there may be opportunities to participate in various research projects in the future. We offer all newly hired nurses an orientation adapted to your previous experience. Among other things, we have a highly appreciated integrated training program in pulmonary medicine with lectures, one afternoon per week, for ten weeks. This provides in-depth knowledge of the various areas we work in, such as thoracic oncology (investigation and treatment), general and specialized pulmonary medicine, and thoracic surgical care. Your position will be at day care during daytime hours, Monday to Friday, with the exception of every fifth weekend when you work at the pulmonary ward. No night shifts, red days, or major holidays. QUALIFICATIONS We are seeking someone who is a licensed nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare. Swedish language proficiency at least equivalent to level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is required. We would appreciate if you have experience in pulmonary medicine and/or general thoracic surgery. Specialist education in oncology and/or experience working with cancer care patients is considered a merit. As a person, you are attentive with a positive attitude. You are flexible, motivated, and committed to your work. You are passionate about providing patients with the highest quality care and are willing to try and develop new working methods and techniques.
