About Us Thorax Center provides highly specialized cardiac and pulmonary surgical care as well as services in invasive electrophysiology, pacemaker, ICD/CRT, invasive cardiology/PCI, and TAVI. The clinic employs approximately 200 staff members across care units, intensive care units, and radiology departments, as well as outpatient and operating room services. We offer broad and varied work with both acute and planned care activities. Unit 55 is a thoracic surgical unit that provides pre- and post-operative cardiac and pulmonary surgical care. Our patients have undergone invasive electrophysiological procedures, ICD/CRT implantations, invasive cardiology/PCI, TAVI, and medical cardiology treatment. We also offer placement opportunities at the Thorax admission and day care unit, where patients come for preparation, admission, treatment, and follow-up care related to surgery and/or treatment. Employment with us includes scheduled training opportunities. We have two Clinical Instructor Nurses who work on orientation and competency-building activities for gradual professional development. About the Job Duties on Unit 55 include pre-operative preparations, post-operative care of cardiac and pulmonary surgery patients, cardiological care, and use of medical equipment such as telemetry and chest drains. You will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of nursing skills as we care for patients with varying conditions who have undergone different procedures and treatments, both acute and planned. You will receive individualized orientation that includes mentorship. About You We are looking for someone who is, or will soon become, a registered nurse. Previous experience in thoracic surgical care or additional certifications are merits. We value strong collaboration skills and your ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
