We offer highly specialized cardiac care and have overall responsibility for patients in the northern region. The Heart Center includes the Cardiology Outpatient Clinic, Thoracic Surgery, Cardiology, Cardiac Intervention, the Arrhythmia Unit, and Clinical Physiology and Center for Cardiovascular Genetics. Together we investigate, treat, and operate on patients with heart, vascular, and lung diseases. Through collaboration across boundaries, efficient care pathways, continuous improvement work, and competent staff, we offer very high-quality care. In close collaboration with the university, we conduct research, development, and education. The Thorax Intermediate Care Unit has 6 care beds and is organizationally connected to the Thorax Intensive Care Unit, which has 6 care beds. Together we employ approximately 90 staff members. We care for and treat over 1,000 patients annually who have undergone heart, vascular, and lung surgery. We also treat patients who develop severe heart and lung failure. The care is highly technological, and patients are monitored circulatorily and respiratorily through, for example, ECG, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and arterial lines. JOB DUTIES As a nurse with us, you contribute your knowledge and commitment that help people feel secure. At the Thorax Intermediate Care Unit, you are responsible for postoperative care of patients who have undergone thoracic surgery as well as for patients who have experienced failure, primarily of the heart and lungs. As a nurse, you are responsible for one to four patients. You work patient-centered, both independently and in multiprofessional teams in close proximity to the patient. As a new employee, you will receive a personally tailored introduction. You will be offered regular in-house training and we would like you to actively participate in the unit's development work. We offer varied and challenging work where you have the opportunity to learn new things every day, always with the patient in focus. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who is a licensed nurse, preferably with experience from hospital care. You have good collaboration skills, can work in a team but also have the ability to work independently. You actively contribute to a good work environment and have good ability to prioritize.
