Are you a nurse interested in the future of psychiatry? The acronym SPOT stands for specialist psychiatric care team and operates in North, South, West, and in Örebro. SPOT is a person-centered care model that provides individualized interventions in the home as a bridge between outpatient and inpatient care. This enables patients to live more independently even when their wellbeing is compromised, avoiding hospitalization or allowing for earlier discharge. The SPOT concept is new and in demand in many parts of Sweden. The care model is flexible where patients in acute phases can receive daily home visits with individualized health and medical care services: qualified support conversations, for example for suicide prevention, medication adjustments, and assessments. We promote a good work environment and all home visits are conducted together with a colleague, but we also offer digital visits and phone contact with our patients. The team includes physicians, nurses, and nursing assistants/healthcare assistants specializing in psychiatry. SPOT-Hallsberg is organizationally under General Psychiatry and operates from General Psychiatry Hallsberg's facilities. Our catchment area is the southern part of the county, including Hallsberg, Askersund, and Kumla municipalities. We work on assignment from both general psychiatry and specialist psychiatry. We are a relatively newly established team still under development with many opportunities for influence and professional growth. Job Responsibilities We are looking for you as a registered nurse, preferably with further education in psychiatry. You have good self-awareness, are innovative and reflective. At SPOT-Söder, you will be an integral part of the care team. This work style offers substantial patient contact and collegial fellowship. We will tailor your competency plan based on you and your previous experience; what you don't know, we will teach you, and together we create an attractive workplace. We have a genuine interest in psychiatric patients and how through teamwork, both internally and externally, and together with family members, we can support the individual. It may also be relevant to take on a limited-term assignment as a coordinator. The coordinator role includes, for example, receiving new cases and planning the team's workflow. If you are a psychiatric nurse, it may be relevant to take on an assignment as a clinical quality nurse. Full-time with a three-week rotating schedule covering days, evenings, and every third weekend, although this can be discussed based on any limited-term assignments as coordinator or clinical quality nurse. Qualifications Licensed nurse. Experience in psychiatry or education as a psychiatric nurse is advantageous. A driver's license (Category B) is required. About the Organization General Psychiatry's outpatient care is part of the General Psychiatry operational area. Our general psychiatric clinics are located in Hallsberg, Karlskoga, Lindesberg, and in Örebro. Specialized clinics for, for example, electroconvulsive therapy, affective conditions, neuropsychiatric assessments, deaf psychiatry, and gender dysphoria are located in Örebro. We work with both individual and group treatment as well as both planned and acute visits and telephone counseling. Rehabilitation is part of our work as well as mobile services through our specialist psychiatric care teams (SPOT) and patient and family education. Together we work with common processes and goals. We work in multidisciplinary teams based on a holistic view of the person and adapt care interventions to the patient's needs and circumstances. We work to promote family members' participation in care.
