Welcome to us Sätra Care and Support Residence is a Silvia Home-certified facility with 120 beds, specializing in dementia, cognitive impairment, and Huntington's disease. Of these beds, 24 are dedicated to social psychiatry. We also offer daytime activities for people with dementia. In 2015, Sätra Care and Support Residence received Stockholm's quality award and has since continued to develop our palliative care philosophy and quality processes to become a leader in dementia care. Our goal is to combine well-being with development, while through collaboration between all professional roles we provide our residents with the best possible care of high quality. We're looking for you – a registered nurse – for a permanent position at Sätra Care and Support Residence. Information about Stockholm's benefits Your role As a nurse, you'll be an important part of the team together with managers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and care staff. You're responsible for qualified interventions for service users within the unit's different specializations. The work involves ensuring, as a team, that our residents receive the care and support they need. This includes close collaboration with care staff, rehabilitation staff, the medical organization, and other care providers, such as in hospital care and primary care. You'll also have a preventive focus, for example through risk assessments and health plans, registration in national quality registers, follow-up of delegations, and incident management. Additionally, supervising care staff is part of your responsibilities. During evenings and weekends, you'll take a supervisory role for the entire operation. We work according to the four cornerstones of the palliative care philosophy: Teamwork Relationship and communication Symptom control Support for next of kin The role includes collaborating with medical organizations, for example by participating in rounds, preparing medication reviews, and performing medical technical tasks as needed. The role includes weekend duty every fourth weekend. Your competence and experience To be relevant for this position, you need to: be a registered nurse have good knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations speak Swedish well, both verbally and in writing Meritorious experience includes: work in elderly care, dementia care, and/or social psychiatry knowledge of documentation in healthcare familiarity with psychiatry and Huntington's disease The role requires flexibility, ability to prioritize, and confidence in handling acute situations. You should feel secure in caring for people at the end of life. It's important that you feel confident leading care staff in daily care work. Furthermore, that you work independently and have the ability to prioritize, organize, and plan your tasks in a structured way. At the same time, you enjoy working in a team and have an aptitude for collaborating with colleagues from different professional categories and with family members. You're a stable person with a holistic perspective on operations. You work goal-oriented, focus on results, and make decisions with the operation's best interest in mind. With new ideas and suggestions, you actively contribute to the development of the operation, while promoting good collaboration through an open, responsive, and problem-solving approach.
