We are expanding our bed capacity and are seeking an additional registered nurse to join our dedicated team in Rehabilitation Medicine in Lund! The Spinal Cord Injury Unit at Skånes University Hospital (Sus) is one of Sweden's leading providers of spinal cord injury care and rehabilitation. We have been entrusted by the National Board of Health and Welfare to serve as one of four nationally highly specialized units and have expanded our operations to accept more patients from a larger part of the country. We meet patients of all ages who have suffered spinal cord injuries or other injuries requiring acute-level rehabilitation due to trauma or illness. Patients come to us for help achieving independence based on new circumstances in their lives. Our newly renovated facilities create the conditions for an inspiring environment where patient care of the highest quality is the focus. Your employment begins with a guided introduction, mentoring, and training in Rehabilitation Medicine, which also includes collaboration with relevant acute care within Sus and our units at Orupssjukhuset. You work closely with many different professional categories in an interdisciplinary team, where everyone focuses on the patient and is guided by their needs. The team meets several times a week to discuss with the patient how rehabilitation is progressing and review current goals. We strive for high staffing levels to meet patients' rehabilitation needs. QUALIFICATIONS You must be a registered nurse with authorization to practice in Swedish healthcare. Your Swedish language skills must correspond to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale. It is meritorious if you have previous experience working in acute care or neurological rehabilitation. We work on a team basis in close collaboration with our patients and their families. Therefore, it is important that you can collaborate and cooperate with your colleagues in your daily work. We practice person-centered care with a holistic view of the patient. A central part of your work is being able to easily contact various actors within the patient's care chain. As a person, you are a team player who finds solutions easily and enjoys patient-focused work. Furthermore, you have good pedagogical skills, take initiative easily, are engaged, and contribute to a positive work environment.
