About the Operation
Nurse in Forensic Psychiatric Care - Develop in a Varied and Meaningful Role

The Forensic Psychiatric Clinic in Säter is responsible for highly specialized care at the county, regional, and national levels. We primarily care for patients transferred to care under the Forensic Psychiatric Care Act. Currently, we have 78 care beds distributed across 7 departments. Working in forensic psychiatry is developing and interesting. If you are interested but a bit uncertain about what the work entails, there is an opportunity to observe at the clinic.
About the Nursing Unit
We have recently started our own nursing unit with the aim of strengthening collaboration, quality, and safety in care work. As a nurse in the unit, you will be part of a close and cohesive collegial group where knowledge, experiences, and clinical assessments are shared. There is always an opportunity here to discuss questions, reason about work methods, and support each other in daily work.
For you who are new to the profession or new to forensic psychiatry, this means you are never alone, but have natural support from colleagues and a clear structure for introduction and supervision. For you with longer experience or specialist competence, there is an opportunity to contribute your knowledge, support colleagues, and be part of developing care work at the clinic.
Job Responsibilities
As a nurse with us, you have a central role in daily care work. The work is consultative, which means that during your shift you are responsible for several departments and get to use your competence where it is needed most, and includes leadership and supervision of care personnel as well as responsibility for clinical assessments, care planning, and ward rounds. Care is varied, relationship-based, and person-centered, with a strong focus on good conduct, participation, and meeting each patient based on individual needs and conditions.
The work takes place in close collaboration with the clinic's multiprofessional treatment team where different professional competencies work together toward common goals. Our mission is to promote health and recovery and create conditions for a sustainable life without relapse into criminal activity.
Qualifications
Our Expectations of You
We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse, have good collaboration skills, and enjoy working in a team where the patient is seen as an active participant in care. You have an interest in care and treatment interventions and want to contribute to care characterized by commitment, quality, and participation.
Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and employment degree can be adapted according to individual preferences.
