Regional Forensic Psychiatry has regional responsibility for compulsory care under the Forensic Psychiatric Care Act (LRV). We care for patients sentenced to forensic psychiatric care, as well as in certain cases particularly care-requiring patients under the Psychiatric Care Act (LPT) and patients from the correctional system. In total, we have 44 inpatient beds, distributed across 5 care units and an admission unit. In addition to inpatient care, approximately fifty patients are cared for within the framework of open compulsory care, which is administered by two outpatient teams. To ensure nursing staffing at the Forensic Psychiatric Clinic in Öjebyn, a targeted effort is being made for this group. Currently, a salary supplement of 4000 kr/month is provided based on full-time employment. The supplement is tied to employment at the clinic. What We're Looking For We are looking for a licensed nurse. It is an advantage if you have several years of experience in the profession and within psychiatry. We also consider it a merit if you have specialist training in psychiatry. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. As a person, you are independent, self-driven, and stable in your work. You are clear and decisive and have good collaboration skills. Your Work At the clinic, we work in teams. The nurse, together with other staff, is responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting psychiatric nursing care. Specific psychiatric nursing includes being able to assess patients' care needs and determine what nursing interventions should be taken in each individual case. Common to all psychiatric nursing is supporting the patient toward as independent and autonomous a life as possible. Within forensic psychiatric care, the protection of the public and crime victims must also be considered. Practical nursing work may include support conversations, social skills training, education, and support to patients and their families. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekends. Start date by agreement. Selection and interviews take place on a rolling basis, and the position may be filled before the final application deadline. Due to the nature of the operations and security requirements, applicants to our organization must be prepared to submit an extract from the criminal record register.
