We are now welcoming a new nurse colleague to our Forensic Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic in Malmö. The forensic psychiatry operations area is part of the Department of Psychiatry, Habilitation and Assistive Devices and consists of forensic psychiatric units in Malmö, Trelleborg, Helsingborg, Hässleholm and Kristianstad. We currently have approximately 300 employees and care for individuals sentenced by courts to forensic psychiatric care. Many have psychotic illness, multiple functional disabilities and substance abuse issues. Secondary complications such as lack of formal education, social isolation and exclusion are common. The goal of forensic psychiatric care is to habilitate and rehabilitate individuals suffering from serious mental illness to enable them to live in society with improved psychosocial functioning and reduced risk of relapse into criminal behavior. The Malmö outpatient clinic is responsible for rehabilitation and habilitation of patients sentenced to forensic psychiatric care when inpatient care is no longer considered necessary. Here we work in teams consisting of nurses and care workers, with doctors, psychologists, occupational therapists and social workers attached to the team. In our work we strive for close collaboration with Social Services and other psychiatric services in our network work around our patients. We also conduct outreach work with home visits to follow up on our patients. Here we provide person-centered care and implement our new work method based on the Flexible Assertive Community (F-ACT) treatment model. Want to know more about what it's like to work with us? With us you have the time and resources to make a difference for our patients! Care work always starts from the patient's individual needs and you will receive an individually adapted introduction with on-the-job training. Competence development and supervision, for example in patient care, takes place continuously. For documentation in our work we use the computer system Melior. The position also offers the opportunity to work as a nurse with a quality assignment in parallel with your regular work as a clinical nurse. This assignment includes among other things coordinating with the unit manager to review deviations, participating in internal audits of quality management systems and communicating new and updated procedures and instructions. With us, teamwork where different competencies and experiences enrich and complement each other is fundamental to our work method. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you as a registered nurse with authorization to practice within Swedish healthcare, preferably with specialist training in psychiatry. In addition, you have Swedish language skills of at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale. Since home visits occur, you also need to have a valid B driver's license. If you have experience from forensic psychiatric care we consider that a merit for the position.
