Job Responsibilities As a nurse at the psychiatric emergency department, you are welcomed to a workplace where you have the opportunity to develop together with an experienced work team and grow with your role. Your work will consist of conducting initial triage of patients seeking care with us, in close collaboration with physicians. Phone counseling is a major part of your work to clarify care needs and recommend the appropriate level of care. The catchment area has approximately 300,000 residents and the department receives approximately 5,000 visitors/year. At the department, we have a close and team-based approach where the work team consists of nurses, nursing assistants, physicians, and a unit manager. It is an advantage if you are specialist trained in psychiatric nursing or have previous experience in psychiatric care work. MI training is a merit, but if you don't have it, you'll have the opportunity to take it with us. The position requires good Swedish, both spoken and written, and other language skills are a great advantage. It's also a plus if you have knowledge of the Cosmic journal system. We are looking for you who are confident in your role as a nurse. You have a genuine interest in people and psychiatry and great empathetic ability. In work situations, you can maintain your composure and prioritize even in acute or unexpected situations. Since the role involves contact with many different agencies, it's important that you are responsive and can collaborate well with others.
