Our Operations
This position is for you if you enjoy broad scope, variety, and want to learn new skills. Department 85F2 is a surgical care unit specializing in plastic and maxillofacial surgery and burn care on the same unit. We care for both adults and children with both scheduled and acute patient intake. Patients requiring particular highly specialized care are admitted from our own county, the region we serve as a university hospital, from across the country, and also from abroad.
We offer varied work with challenges and great stimulation that contributes to the development of your skills. In our specialty, functionality is restored following, for example, tumor diseases, severe bodily injuries such as burns, and congenital malformations. Reconstructive plastic surgery at Akademiska Hospital is recognized as one of the leading centers in plastic surgery both nationally and internationally.
Your Qualifications
You are a licensed nurse with an interest in surgical care. You are driven, solution-oriented, and curious. Your motto is to always do what is best for the patient. Experience in surgical care and/or pediatric care is meritorious but not required.
What We Offer
We are seeking a new nurse for our team. We offer a permanent employment position on a two or three-shift schedule. With a three-shift schedule, a rotation allowance is provided.
You will receive approximately 6 weeks of orientation with a mentor. The introduction is tailored to your prior knowledge so you feel confident in your role with us. We will agree with you on how working hours during orientation will be arranged. We believe that individual orientation is important since everyone has different needs. Continuous professional development throughout your career is self-evident to us.
