The Orthopedic Care Unit (VO) operates at hospitals in Hässleholm and Kristianstad. The orthopedic operations at CSK include emergency surgeries and outpatient services. VO Orthopedics is a university healthcare unit with opportunities to conduct research. The Orthopedic Clinic is a well-functioning clinic with an established team consisting of doctors, nurses, plaster technicians, and nursing assistants. We have close collaboration with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and medical secretaries. At the clinic, we primarily work with follow-up visits after acute injuries and surgeries. The clinic serves patients of all ages. The clinic supports an acute care hospital, and it frequently occurs that more urgent visits need to be scheduled during the day. JOB DUTIES We now welcome a positive and committed nurse who wants to drive the orthopedic clinic operations forward together with us. The orthopedic clinic operates Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30, without weekend or holiday shifts. Here you are offered interesting and varied work. Job duties include telephone advice, coordination of clinic operations, independent nurse consultations, and collaborating with and assisting doctors at their clinics. A large part of the work consists of wound care where you as a nurse encounter everything from surgical wounds to complicated traumatic wounds. You make independent assessments and treatments and refer patients to appropriate care providers when we at specialty care have fulfilled our mission. QUALIFICATIONS We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with authorization to work in Swedish healthcare. Swedish language skills corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. Previous work experience in making clinical decisions is a prerequisite for the position, as is good computer skills since documentation is a central part of the work. It is a merit if you have previous work experience from orthopedic operations and/or clinic work where you have gained experience in wound care.
