JOB RESPONSIBILITIES As a registered nurse on orthopedic ward 6, you can look forward to engaging, stimulating, and constantly developing work within an exciting field with many different diagnoses in acute orthopedics and urology. The ward also provides elective care with approximately three care beds Monday through Friday. You will be a team leader and care coordinator for your care team with up to 6-8 patients. As part of a team consisting of nurses, care coordinators, doctors, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists, you coordinate patient care and medical treatment. In addition to work within your care team, you are expected to contribute to the unit's development work and our shared work environment. As a nurse with us, you will work with, among other things: • care including preventive work against care-related injuries • medication administration • handling of medical equipment such as infusion pumps, VAC pumps, central lines, feeding tubes, catheters • documentation and planning for patient admission and discharge • information and education.
