At the eye clinic, we meet patients with virtually all types of eye diseases that we diagnose and treat at the clinic. We provide outpatient care consisting of reception, operating department, day departments, inpatient beds at another clinic, and the vision center. We provide regional healthcare services to residents in the central and western parts of Östergötland, and highly specialized care to patients from Jönköping and Kalmar. Our operations are in constant development and together we drive and develop clinic-wide initiatives that strengthen our goal - to provide high-quality eye care. Our Offering Day departments in Linköping at Garnisonen and University Hospital are part of the eye clinic. At the eye clinic, specialized and highly specialized eye surgery is performed both under general anesthesia and local anesthesia. We perform cataract surgery, vitreous and retinal surgery, corneal transplants, pressure-reducing surgery for glaucoma, strabismus surgery, and extraocular surgery. Our operations are in constant development, and to meet future healthcare needs, we need to adapt our work methods. Job Description Work hours on weekdays are divided into two shifts: 07:00-16:00 or 10:45-19:00. You will also work approximately every fifth Saturday. The department is closed on Sundays. We are a cohesive team of fourteen people consisting of nurses and nursing assistants who enjoy working and spending time together. Now we want to grow, and we hope you'll become part of our team! In day surgery care, we care for patients before and after surgery. As a nurse, you are an important link in the pre- and postoperative work around the patient. We work according to the principle of paired care, where a nurse and nursing assistant collaborate and together care for approximately four patients during a shift. Most of our postoperative patients can go home the same day after a few hours of monitoring. There is an opportunity to have different areas of responsibility, for example in CPR, if you have an interest in it. We also offer all new employees the opportunity to complete a ProAct course. About You We are looking for you to be a licensed nurse. In your work, we see that you provide good patient care, personal attention, and through your professionalism maintain high quality and focus. You do not need previous experience or knowledge in eye care to apply for this position. We offer thorough introduction and training so you feel confident in your role. Since you will communicate with patients, relatives, colleagues, and in some cases authorities, it is a requirement that you have good Swedish language skills in both speech and writing.
