About the position: At the Lung Oncology Center, advanced medical procedures and examinations are performed, creating a stimulating and varied work environment. We continuously work on improvement and development, where your participation and ideas are valued. Care is based on the patient's needs, with a strong focus on both the patient and their loved ones. At the Bronchoscopy Unit, various pulmonary medicine procedures are performed such as bronchoscopies, pleural drain placement, and different types of lung samples. Procedures are primarily performed on elective patients, but there is also an acute flow where hospitalized patients are received from across the hospital. As a registered nurse, you work as part of a team with other nurses, nurse assistants, and physicians. Together, you work to perform procedures in a patient-safe manner. The role includes handling medication, sterile instruments, technical equipment, and specimen material. Propofol sedation is used in some procedures. Special training is offered to acquire this competency. The operation also has access to an assistant university nurse with intensive care competency. The team works extensively on development. The position is based during daytime hours, Monday through Friday. There is an opportunity to rotate between the bronchoscopy unit and other units within the operation, such as the day care department or as a contact nurse – providing excellent conditions for professional development. Qualifications: Requirements: Swedish registered nurse license At least three years of experience as a registered nurse Comfortableness with technology in the work environment Meritorious: Specialist education in Oncology, radiology, intensive care, or anesthesia Experience with bronchoscopy/endoscopy operations.
