The position is located within the Care and Services Administration, one of eight departments in Linköping Municipality. The Care and Services Administration is responsible for the municipality's elderly care, healthcare, authority functions, procurement of services, and operates care and services in-house. Welcome to us! Your Responsibilities Would you like to work close to patients, use all your expertise, and help develop the future of municipal healthcare? With us, you get an assignment where your medical judgment makes a difference every day. As a nurse in short-term care, you are responsible for patients with often complex care needs. You plan, assess, carry out, and follow up healthcare interventions and make your own priorities based on the patient's needs. Patients are often in a phase between hospital and home or other housing. This means that the work is varied and that patients' needs can change rapidly. Your assignment includes, among other things: making medical assessments and initiating interventions coordinating care services and participating in care planning carrying out and following up on physician orders guiding and delegating to nursing staff documenting in patient records carrying out admissions and discharges receiving and following up information from hospitals and other healthcare providers participating in rounds together with physicians You participate in the weekly round together with physicians from the Närvård Clinic at US and work in close collaboration with other professionals around the patient. Your Workplace Linköping Municipality has short-term care places at Garnisonens care facility, Åleryd care facility, and Kärna care village. In 2027, all short-term care will be co-located at Åleryd care facility. The goal is to create a more cohesive operation with increased continuity, stronger collaboration, and the opportunity to develop specialized expertise in short-term care. You work in a multiprofessional team with nurse colleagues, operations manager, physical therapist, occupational therapist, and nursing staff. You also collaborate with physicians, family members, and other healthcare providers. We are now seeking three nurses for permanent positions in short-term care. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30. About You We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse and have experience working as a nurse. It is a merit if you have experience in municipal healthcare or work in elderly care. Specialist training as a district nurse or other relevant specialist training is also a merit. You are familiar with working in documentation and patient record systems and have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. To thrive in this role, you need to be organized, have good judgment, and be able to make independent assessments and prioritizations. You work well with others and communicate clearly with patients, family members, and colleagues.
