The Role of a Registered Nurse
The work is varied and stimulating where no two days are the same. As a registered nurse, you will be challenged by multifaceted tasks that come with comprehensive surgical acute care.
We work in a multidisciplinary manner and strive to provide patients with the highest quality of care. Your work takes place in close collaboration with other professionals. As a registered nurse, your role involves planning, leading, and organizing patient care work together with the patient and other professionals.

Surgical Wards G and H are a dynamic workplace with a fast pace and a good mix of newly qualified and experienced nurses in surgical care and nursing. We work consciously to create the best possible conditions for you through mentorship and continuous professional development.
In Värnamo, there are two inpatient care units with different surgical specialties. There is also a surgeon/endoscopy clinic where patients are examined and treated in upper/lower gastroenterology, general surgery, abdominal and chest plastic surgery, and endocrinology. We also have a stoma clinic. The Surgical Clinic is a regional clinic with operations in Jönköping, Eksjö, and Värnamo. Read more about the Surgical Clinic here:

Your Profile
We are looking for you as a registered nurse with a genuine interest in people and who always keeps the patient in focus. We would like to see that you have previous experience working in a hospital, but this is not a requirement.
If you are new to your profession, we have the opportunity to offer you an experienced clinical ward mentor in surgery. This nurse serves as support for both new and established staff members in daily operations, which includes daily mentoring and works to create a structure for knowledge transfer, patient safety, and team development on the wards.
You thrive in a workplace where you have the opportunity to work with mixed tasks at a varied pace. It is therefore important to us that you are a flexible person with a pleasant demeanor and have good ability to structure your work. We place great emphasis on qualities such as teamwork ability and flexibility. For us, professional attitude, responsibility, good demeanor, and patient safety are always current and prioritized issues.
